NICE TO MEET YOU!

Sharon grew up around horse racing and learned from a young age that teamwork and collaboration were key building blocks for success. Watching her father identify the strengths and weaknesses of each individual horse, and use that information to tailor specific strategies designed to bring out the best made her realize at an early age that everyone has their own gifts and talents, sometimes they just need help realizing it.
Sharon believes it is important to share those lessons with the next generation. Helping our children to discover skills and activities they enjoy and are good at should be a top priority of our Board of Education. As the mother of two teenagers, Sharon knows firsthand that students need environments where they feel safe and are given support for their individual goals and needs.
In addition to enjoying horseback riding and pickleball, Sharon is a dedicated member of the Saratoga community and spends time volunteering for causes like NY Race Track Chaplaincy, Backstretch Employee Service Team (BEST), Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF), and Old Friends. Supporting one another’s goals and interests, always looking out for your neighbor, and fighting for a better future for our children are values that Sharon holds dear and looks forward to sharing with the Saratoga community.
Sharon Dominguez is the kind of person Saratoga Springs City School District needs on the Board of Education.
As a mom and a dedicated volunteer in our community, she knows
firsthand the struggles facing our students and faculty. As a member of the School Board, Sharon will focus on providing our students and educators with the safest schools and learning environment possible, preparing students for post-graduation success by helping them explore their skills and interests, and providing all students with a fair education that brings out the best in them and helps them to realize their potential.
